God Bless America

I remember where I was on this day in 2001 when I heard about the plane crashing in to the first tower of the world trade center.

I was living at my Mom and Dad's house in Mesa, just getting ready to leave for college, I was happy to spend a few more weeks with my family before I left. I was asleep when I was startled by my sister Aimee, who came in my room and told me that a plane had just hit the world trade center. I was very groggy and I didn't know what to think of it all, but I stumbled in to the living room and saw one of the memorable sites I'd ever seen. It was the smoke billowing out of the first tower.

My Dad is so smart and he was sort of narrating the whole thing for us all, explaining to us what may have happened and how this is going to affect the future of America. We all sat stunned in front of the television for quite some time, and then we watched again and again as they showed footage of the second plane hitting the second tower. I remember feeling like my stomach was aching and there was no way to fix it!

Then when stories of the plane hitting the pentagon and flight 93 came out later on that day we were so confused as to who would plan and carry out such an atrocity! So many people became heroes on that day, and so many people suffered great pain! All the while I sat in the comfort of my home with my loved ones.

Recently Joe and I watched flight 93 for the second time. (The first time I saw it, I was pregnant with Ethan and he literally turned in my stomach at the end) Well the second time we watched it, we were in the living room so we had time to discuss things as they progressed through the movie. And one thing Joe mentioned was, "The Islams have another thing coming to them if they think that they have virgins and riches waiting for them when they die." As true as that is, I feel that because they were taught these things from childhood, they had no choice but to follow through with them!

It makes me grateful for what I have and what I know. I know that the Lord wants me to be happy, and wants good things for me, and the tragic act against America by those men on September 11th was anything but happy and good.

I just wanted to take the chance to say that I remember what happened on that day, I'm proud to be an American, and God Bless America.

Whose face??

This one looks a little awkward, my face just doesn't go on her body!

This one of Ethan as strong man is hilarious!!
I think this one of Joe looks pretty realistic as Pres. Bush.

There some freesoftware you can download called funphotor. (You can find it on google). It's so fun. Then you can save the picture to your desktop and viola! Enjoy!

miscellaneous

I just thought these were good for the family page. The one on the left is a year old. Jordan came with us to Utah and this is a picture of Angie Preston and GO-GO just before the ride began. It was a fun day. We miss Jordan and are so proud of all he is doing in Canada.

The pic on the right is little Kali, I used Velcro curlers in her hair one Sunday and after playing outside after church it was pretty flat. She loves getting ready for church. She likes to think about what she will where the night before. Kids are so fun! With only 6 weeks left until school again we are just braving through the heat a bit longer.

FHE

Hey guys.

Everyone has been out of town, busy, or sick the last few weeks. I miss you all. Please come to family night at our house on Monday July 2nd. We will start at 6:30 pm. We'll do a pot luck and let the kids play in the sprinklers or something. I just feel like we have all been away for awhile!

What happened? Mom is making that bitter beer face!!
Okay! My guilt got the best of me. I decided that it wouldn't have been fair to mom, to only stick this picture that I messed with on! I have been laughing here all by6 myself the whole time I have been making it. SO FUNNY!!

Sisters

Finally a girl picture with the three of us. Our cameras are always pointed at the kids!

A Great Saturday

Mom and Dad got the big Costco water slide, and set it up as a surprise. We had the best day outside! BBQ, Soda, and the Sun! It was really fun, not only for the kids. I love being able to blog our journal for our family. It will be so fun to go back and look at our fun, as a family. Thanks Mom and Dad!!

Camera-man

Here are some pictures that Noah took. Of course they are random. But even funnier, is that they are taken from his height and perspective. Look how high the door handle is on the closet compared to the picture. I love it!
